Regional Managers based in Mazar-i-Sharif, Herat, Fayzabad, Kabul
Creative Associates International, Inc. (Creative) is seeking candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded grants-based project to support Afghan community based groups that are not registered with the Ministry of Economy.
The Regional Managers (RM), under the supervision of, and reporting to the Regional Director, will be responsible for managing and reporting on all program activities in the assigned region. The RM will serve as the prime point of contact with USAID PRT representatives and Afghan government agencies in the region. The RM is responsible for the development and completion of detailed annual work plans and will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on progress on work plan implementation to the Regional Director. The RM will work with the provincial managers to develop an overall program strategy and specific work plans for the assigned area. He/She will also monitor the implementation of the program, and work with the Regional Director to assure that CSP meets the goals and objectives set by the program as agreed with USAID. Other responsibilities are:
• Assisting with approval and management of community grants by ensuring that required specifications are consistently provided in order to operate a cost-effective program-related procurement;
• Supporting development of a staff training and development program, and advising the Regional Director regarding program and staff development;
• Managing and monitoring CSP program reporting to assure that USAID reporting requirements and standards are met;
Requirements: Public administration, business, management, or a related field. At least 7 years of program experience, and at least 5 years of program management experience, preferably in a complex program environment; previous experience managing USAID programs and strategic planning required.
