Azul

For all of those who wish to marry in algeria you will need a recent police check done at your local police station, your birth certificate, passport showing you have entered the country i.e. stamped, certificate of approval to marry - collected at your local english registery office, four passport pictures, health certificate,

all of the above must also be translated into Arabic by a vilid authority.

Also check other web sites as we are to be oficially (currently in mosque) married in September therefore may not have all relevant requirements.

Also since the embassy has moved to Algeria from Tunisia timescales are not stated.

I wish you all the best and hapiness with you men.

I hope soon to finish university and with my husband save money so as to be able to build his dream home in his little kablye village.

As for moving there im still hesatant but am sure when the time is right I will know and will jump at the first chance to move there.

As for life, it is too short to spend time worrying about tomorrow and buts and if's, just go.

hi my names nicki and my fiance is algerian...we arent married yet but plan to later this year...i went to algeria in aug this year and stayed for a month and enjoyed very minute of it......yes it was very different..especially the toilet!!.....but i soon got used to everything and now i love it.Unfortunetly i had to come hmoe...but i do plan to go again and i cant wait.

Once we are married we plan to live there and yeh this feels alittle scary sometimes but also very exciting...i fell in love with Setif while i was there and cant wait to start my life.

Not being able to speak english at normal speed was something i found hardest..and am sure will find it hard next time...although some of his family speak alittle english.so i like the idea of knowing other british people living there n knowing im not alone(not that i thought i was)

hi, i have met a man on the internet from algeria and i would like for him to come to america so we can get married, is it hard to get a K1 visa without me going to algeria, and is it possible for him to come to usa. Has anyone from Algeria made it to american without any trouble, , he is 34, ,

Reply #36 Bubba from deep in your mind (Contact Member) -

Are you *SURE* he is not just wanting to come to America... and you are just a means??

I think you should go to Algeria and live with him for 2+ years and find out.

to bubba, I am 57 american and he is a 34 yesr old algerian man, he said he loves and i am head over heals for this guy, he says all the right things, i called a lawyer about a visa, and he said the only way i can bring him in usa, is to go visit him first he is very convincing with his words, then maybe he just wants a free ride to usa, he said he hates his country, has anyone ever got hooked up with this situation, and they got dumped down the road,

Read the messages here... is seems to be a common issue with women from England and men from Alergia and various other countries... and men from USA and "women" from various African countries...

Here is a link to the U.S. Embassy website in Ghana about dating scams common there...

asalamu alaykum everyone,

I am a british citizen married to an algerian for 11 years now, with four children living near oran.

just to reply to aisha's message regarding her wanting to stay longer than the 90 day visa given;

once you arrive in algeria you should visit the local police station, imigration department, and let them know that yo are in the country and they make a file for you.

When the 90 day visa has almost finished you can go back to the police and ask for a further 60 days or if you want to stay longer then you can apply for a residence card.

you will need to present them with; valid passport, marriage cert, doctors certificate, 8 photos, having a family book helps but is not necessary, few more items also but i have forgoten, but nothing too difficult.

i applied for my residence in the summer and found it quite easy to do, they have given me residence for 10 years.

Hi,

Looks like all the messages are about expat married to Algerians.Nothing wrong with that as I wish all a very best of luck.

I am British/Algerian lady, I've been leaving in London for nearly 10 years. I'm looking for an Algerian circle to be with, to meet from time to time. Can anyone direct me or help me with some information. I can also be friend and join English/French ladies married to Algerians but leaving in London. I'm single so I also don't mind being with people like me.

I might find Mr PERFECT (lol)

For any help, please email me to liberty_diva@hotmail.

Thanks in advance for all.

Hi All, I wish you the all best in your adventures, Algeria is a nice country, but it could be better and more open to tourism etc..

I have a quetion: Does anyone of you get English TV in Algeria. BBC's ITV's etc..

I would be able to get a sky card and a sky box with a large dish.

I would like to hear from any of you regarding English TV in Algeria.

All the best

I am Algerian but since the troubles in the 1990s I have been living in France, Israel and Australia. Algeria is my home, but I find it trouble to go back, I have very few family in Algeria, but I too own a villa on seaside and wish to retire there. Algerian life is tough, especially for locals, extremist groups and terrorism also exist, they want to implement an Islamic state, though they have been for the most part unsuccessful. Maybe there will be revolution like in Iran, I do not know. Resources are not exploited properly and infrastructure is poor. One must not also forget crime is very high. All in all though Algerians are nice, food is the best and you can make a nice life in Algeria, even if you are a woman.

Ciao,

David
