REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager, functionally to Director of TrainingDEPARTMENT: Training
LOCATION: Region location
BASIC FUNCTION: Manage and supervise the overall training function for the Company to ensure training
needs are met in the development of competent personnel, and continuously
improving the standard and cost effectiveness of training through out the Region. Also
to manage the Company’s training center in line with the Training Policy Statement
and Core Values.
DUTIES:
Plan, devise and issue training schedules for in-house training courses
Regularly review, update and obtain approval for the Region training & competence matrix, for
offshore and onshore personnel
Implement and maintain the Company’s On-the-Job training program in the Region
Implement the Accelerated Rig training (ART) program in the region, and be responsible for the
overall co-ordination and progress tracking of the ART trainees
Monitor the progress of participants in the Company’s Rig Engineer (REP) program
Manage the Company’s approved Training Management System (Training Wizard)
Manage the training center on break even basis to support the Company’s business objectives
Review and up-date the Region training & competency manual annually
Provide cost effective training by delivering Company developed in-house, and other training
courses, at the Training Center
Approve the Company’s Training Certificates for Company approved in-house training and
completed OJT modules
Approve invoices associated with the running of the Training Center
Provide a summary of listings, by cost center, of the course and other fees to be charged to the
users of the training center, to the Region Finance Manager and Houston Accounting
Prepare annual budgets for approval
Manage the costs of the Training Center within the approved budget
Develop, where necessary Region specific training to meet the needs of the respective Region
Communicate regional training development needs to the Director of Training
Represent the Company at industry associations and regional regulatory bodies
Have an understanding of the Competency Assurance System
Region specific duties as assigned by Region Management
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
High School as a minimum and College preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Offshore experience or staff engineer or rig manager. Held an offshore
supervisory position, OIM. Previous experience in safety and training an advantage.
SKILLS:
Good written and oral communication skills. Good planning, problem solving and managerial skills. Any people and
business management skills a plus. Should have literacy computer skills. Be able to empower people in the team and
help them to reach their maximum potential.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent knowledge and understanding of drilling operations. Must understand the importance of traveling to visit the
units/facilities in the region in order to promote training. Must have a deep understanding of different cultures and their
respective approaches to training issues.

Responsible for preparation of rig and departmental budgets. Forecasting and projection of same.

I have an extensive experience in management and organizing training programs due to my current position as a training manager in (Arab Information System Forum: NGO).I am responsible for the preparation of annual plans for training programs , identifying the training needs of the arab towns , writing the theoretical content & adapting the manuals , evaluating the training programs using creative methods , Selection of trainers, experts & hiring and Writing training reports and publishing through the media & website
I am a certified PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI (Project management Institute) USA. This certificate proves my knowledge in project management and indicates that I am experienced, since the exam focuses on real life situations . I also can give a training sessions in this field
