easy to deal with arab culture, no restrictions on the typical daily life. Housing requires about 1800 BD to aquire a nice villa. roads are not great. there is a nice expat community. The island is small and everybody knows each other.good luck, Bradley Good luck, let me know if you need more spcific detailes.

Hi. I am an estate agent in Bahrain. It will not cost you BD1800 a month for a nice villa. It will cost around BD1000. Apartments, even less. It is very easy to live in Bahrain, financially, except if you have children! School fees for expat children are ridiculously high! I have 3 small children and I have to pay around BD600 a month for their fees. That does not include uniforms, books or the usual fund raising that the school does. If you are lucky enough to find a job where your employer will pay your school fees (fewer all the time), you will be fine. Everything else about Bahrain is great!
