Hi guys - just to let you know- there is a new online community for expatriates (expats) living and working in Bahrain... this site http://ixpats.com/bh features an articles, news and story base to allow members to exchange experiences and information, plus a totally free Classifieds system so expats can sell, buy and exchange stuff without having to pay high advertising costs. Check it out. Rgds.

We would like to welcome all expat women worldwide to get involved in one of the most exciting new sites on the internet ! A virtual meeting place of friendly chatter, hard facts, soul searching, first-hand accounts, shared triumphs, and much morehttp://www.expatclic.com is the place to go for interesting articles on life overseas, for fascinating discussions in the various forums, and for detailed exchanges on arts and crafts. All of this with particular emphasis on how normal women, who happen to find themselves in rather unusual circumstances, adapt and learn to love life abroad. If you would like to participate in the forums, write an article for us (and see it published on-line !) or read about the life of other women (and a few men) overseas, then go to our site.

Hi:I am interested in moving to Bahrain to live and enjoy a retired life. Is this possible? Or is Bahrain too restrictive. I am a US citizen. Any information on temporary living (for 5 to 10 years) in Bahrain, making it a second home, will be appreciated. Second question: Is Bahrain more expensive than Saudi Arabia (which is relatively inexpensive compared to Dubai for example)? Rents seem to be pretty high from what I have seen on the net. Can one get a decent place 2/3 bedroom villa/apartment for $1000 pm or less? Thanks. Zeffen • Page 1 (Original Post) •
