Hi, I am expecting my job offer letter from a Bahrain based Company. The Company has mentioned that they provide me with a decent package, a family status after my 6 months probation (2 Bedroom unfurnished house) and a car. Can anyone help me in understanding the monthly expenses at Bahrain for educating 1 child going to the 12th Standard, one child going to the 6th Standard, vegetarain food expenses, the utility expenses such as water, electricity, sewage, fuel, cable, bus travel expenses? My heartfelt thanks to anyone who could list out the various expenses in detail. This would provide insight as to how much the job offer would mean in terms of savings. Thanks once again, Giri Krishnan

Fabrizio, if you really have been this job @2600 BHD, plus accommodation, this will really make you have a prince life in bahrein.2600 BHD is around USD 7000, so you can go ahead with this opportunity and I hope success for you :) buona fortuna :)

I will try to answer, have been living in Bahrain at about 3 Years before. Maybe some things changed. Cost of Chicken Biryani in a Restaurant 500 Filz means 0.5 BD Fresh Water will not cost very much, its was supported by the Goverment to keep the prices low. 25 litres at about 500 Filz. The cost of a Flat with 2 or 3 Rooms was about 80 - 100 BD + Water and Electricity 20 - 50 BD. I would say u can stay in Bahrain for 2 Dinar a Day (1 Person) (food only) or can have a very luxory Life which is much more expensive if u have a american or european Standard. (theres no limit what u can spend in this country i think) Some Indians ive met, where earning about 150 BD + accomodation and they saved about 80 - 100 Dinar a month. If u want to take ur wife with u watch for family status.
