I was born in Curitiba, Parana and as a child remember eating a dessert called Sagoo (sp?). It was a large perl tapioca made with wine and sugar. Can anyone help? Moito abrigado! Maria

Hi, Maria.I was born in Brazil as well and the sagu there is made from cassava (the starch when dried can be irregular --> tapioca or regular --> sagu). One can prepare it with wine, milk or juice, but the most popular is with wine. The sagu from other countries is completely different. cheers. Charles.

I tried a dessert that had layers of thin pastry with a caramel-like, condensed milk-like stuff between the layers, and chopped walnuts on top. Can anyone tell me its name? • Page 1 (Original Post) •
