Hi VerkaThanks for your email. If you think for one moment that we would give up our impartiality and independence based on your email you are wrong. We are there to give factual, unbiased and no-nonsense advice to English speaking people and will not publish estate agents or any other companies / services in our magazine (Quest Bulgaria) who suggest to us that they are happy to work with us on the basis that we pass any of our subscribers or readers to them for a cut of their commission - it's a disgrace. We work only with serious and honest businesses who want to help and assist our english speaking readers; and we would never do business with anyone on the basis you suggest! Jain

just noticed a shocking post somewhere else in a forums 'free legal advice' and even worse it is meant to be a real proper answer from their BG lawyers, which says "the inheritance law in Bulgaria is the same in its principles of this of France, which have me thinking that it is very close to that in the UK" yes, same as France, but ABSOLUTELY OPPOSED TO UK INHERITANCE LAW AS MOST OF THE EU IS - there is nothing more different to UK inheritance law than any French inheritance laws. How can these forums get away with telling people that this is "legal advice"??? I can't believe it! Jain

Hi Steve, in answer to you yes it is possible for most of the way by river. The Danube flows through most of Europe and can get you to Russe, which is quite close to Varna. You might even get a bit farther along before it turns inland away from Bulgaria. You can get on the Danube in Germany and maybe even higher up. But I should tell you the drive down is fantasic and very enjoyable. I drove all the way except for 4 1/2 hours of the journey, my co driver did the 4 1/2 hours. Ther are good hostels and cheap good hotels all the way down. I am driving back to England next week and am going to try to go by Dnaube up to Hungary or even Germany or Austria. Just to try out the experience. Best wishes Tony
