Hi there,

My Name is Mark,

myself & Family and i are planning to visit the sunny beach area of bulgaria in the very near future with a view to purchasing and renovating a property as a permenant residence.

Along Side of this i will be moving my construction company ( less the employees) to embark on specialised renovations for ex pats who would like a compitent and fully skilled professional to help making a dream property -without the hassle of INEXPERIENCED profit mongering.

Initially as with any new venture there are some benchmarks that need to be set , and the realism that you cant just move to a foreign country pick up a nailgun and build something is where i am comming from.

My experience as a Working Director of a uk company whos cients include some projects which could easily have been included in grand designs, just for thier originality.

So why am i here?

Preparation .... if you can help i need the following

name of fleunt english bulgarian / lawyer ( For littigation and conveyancing).

The Name of English Curriculum School or prodominatley speaking (for a child aged 9)

The Name of a Reliable Agent to assist in the searching and purchasing of a property.

The Name of Owners or Proposed purchasers who Have a need for a Builder with 19 years of experience with an extremley good knowledge of plumbing , drainage, electrics, roofing, stud work bathrooms....well in essence the ability to create a house from nothing and make internal alterations that excite.

If you do have any means in which you can help source any of above or ARE any of the above please could yo email me your input/contact details to Fishproperty@msn.com And mark it for my attention - Mark

Once again Thankyou for taking the time to read this and see you soon.

Mark Powell.

Well, what a load of spam and scam messages on this forum for months on end. Builders, plumbers, estate agents, wannabe agents, free online mags, people selling b and b, et al ad nauseum. Everyone with a digicam and a pen thinks they can make a business and make money out of you... no wonder people are being ripped off if they rely on this kind of stuff.

None of these people are independent, they all want to get you to invest thousands of pounds without any proof of their abilities nor worthiness. Get things in print!

Be careful out there! Bulgaria is a good place and the Bulgarians are more trustworthy than your compatriots !

Glad im looking to invest & Retire, not reap the cash in philosphy then...im leaving the pressure of the rat race in the uk where its pressure pressure pressure for loads of money and finished yesterday agenda. To move to a relaxed better quality of life where people are happy and employ locals to help me......im sure that abroad there is more apreciation there - than employing foreigners in this country .

Sorry is this in the right place?

That business you can make also in BG, but you need to decide where to by. Mostly rentable places are the resorts – but there the business is for the season – summer or winter. If you need any info or advice I will be happy to help you

Hi Everyone,

We have been reading your emails, and would just like to say bulgaria is a lovely country and the people are great. We have a house in Dobrich where the local are smashing friendly helpful and love the english and welcome you with open arms. We bought in 2005 and had it fully renovated to our taste in 2006. They have done a fantatic job we went through a managent company and they also look after it for us at a small cost.We would love to move to bulgaria but cannot due to family comittments at the moment, We also invested in an apartment in byala which is about 30 mins to varna, this is a place you can live all year round it is beautiful.

It was a bit pain staking going through the legal side, but my advice is to make sure you get a good lawyer.

Even if you cannot move their instantly it is still a good place to have a holiday home and get away from the rat race

It is common to have to overcome some problems when moving to another country. I did have the luck to know some people to help me out with all different kind of matters and I'm willing to help out other people coming to or planning to come to live in Bulgaria. I'll try to answer any question or 'redirect' to an appropriate source for anything that comes up. Feel free to email me, but bear with me, I've got my work too, so it might be so that I cannot give you an answer within the hour :)

hello, well what a read, im from london and have been living in australia for about 15 yrs. im thinking about moving to bulgaria buying somthing reasonably cheap to renoavate. i.ve been in the building game for around 25 yrs ( tiling, waterproofing, redering all sorts really and i do it because i really like it. i have worked on tuna boats prawn trawlers and just love meeting people. i cannot understand why everyone is trying to rip people off. im hear because i would like to get to know some friends in a place i dont know anyone including the bulgarian people to, and would be more than happy to help anyone out in some building work and give some advice and yes i would do it for free we should be getting on together not argueing all the time i also would like to learn some bulgarian and would like advice on where to buy, somthing cheap but not to far away from the beach maybe about 15 to 20 mins away if possible. could any local people tell me what the fishing is like and would like to know what the main food is over there. email me on robcol2010@hotmail.com cant wait to hear from anyone thanks rob
