I own a property in Dobromirka (about 25 miles out of Veliko Tarnovo on Sofia road). I would like to get this place renovated and wonder if anyone can put me intouch with a decent builder who is not going to rip me off!

I am looking for a good builder to renovate my house in Dragajevo village, Veliko Turnovo. If you can provide references and a portfolio of your works I would like to hear from you. I want to start the work in March which I am told will take approximately 2 months.

My aim is to meet the builder in Veliko Turnov in early March with a view to starting the work soon after.

Hi there. I bought a house last year in Patresh just north of Pavlikeni and about 40 minutes drive from Veliko. I am just looking for advice from anyone who has renovated property in this area. How difficult is it to get planning permission? Who can I trust to do the work? How far will my money go? Etc. I would also love to hear from any ex pats living in the veliko area to find out about life there as I am hoping to settle there eventually. Thanks

Also, does anyone have any idea how long it takes to get planning approved in VT?

I really would like to talk to someone to get advice and i quickly need an architect to start on the plans..need someone reliable and quick..

Hi,

I used Mekotek for both my renovations, and the property maintenance they were recommended to me, and I will also recommend them.

They are English Speaking, and provide weekly photo updates on the website. Very helpfull and professional, and good prices.
