Hi, i am a 39 year old who has just about had his lot of london, I have worked either as a proffessional photographer for some of the Uk's top magazines or in the service industry both in many bars and restaurants and again for some of londons very best special events company's over the last twenty years.

After a photographic assignment in Cambodia for Food & Travel Magazine last year it has been in the back of my mind to set up a bar and restaurant there as i considered it to have massive potential.

We have 3 hectares of land, 1km from the sea, up the mountain in Kep. View on 10 of the Kep islands. We have two ponds full all year long and a stream in the middle of the land. All the land is covered with fruit trees. We sell for 200.000 USD

For all of those postings above ready to get into a local SCAM, please be advised of the following rule:

FOREIGNERS CANNOT OWN LAND in CAMBODIA.

If someone locally says otherwise, they are either lying (and looking for your money) or plain stupid. You can check the official Land laws on that issue (2001, amended from the 1995). You can only OWN land as part of a government-approved joint-venture deal in which you cannot have more than 49% of the shares and the rest (51%) must be held by a Cambodian investor or company. Guess for yourself what happens if you don't like the arrangement in the long term.. (I just finished a comparative analysis of investment in hospitality & tourism in Cambodia * compared with Thailand, Vietnam and Laos* as part of my graduate requirements for a Masters of Sciences, after almost 2 years of travel there).

There are a number of opportunities there, but also a lot of traps for those ready to believe in miracles.

Anyone wants to prove me that land can be 'bought' otherwise can reach me at roadmap@hotmail.com. But they better know about the registration paper issues with the Cadastre.

It is true that Cambodia laws prohibit foreigners to own land in Cambodia. The laws and the legal system still provide ways for anyone to own real estates in Cambodia.

Hi guys,

If you're looking to buy land in Cambodia, ever heard of Mondulkiri? It's a beautiful place, still undeveloped but very soon will be one of the hottest tourist destinations. It's a good place to invest as it's so much cheaper then buying in Sihanokville. Google it.
