I have been told and have read in SS handbook that a person cannot collect SS payments while in Cambodia. Anyone know for sure if this is true or not are there exceptions ?

I know the SS Handbook is very confusing. I was in the SSA office last week asking the same question. They told me that I was eligible to receive benefits while in Cambodia but they could not send the check to Cambodia unless you made arrangments to pick the check up at the embassy, and that was not a sure thing. However they would do a direct deposit into a bank account. What have you found out?
