If you think you are being scammed you are. Listen to your instincts like I did. They will make it sound true and sweet. Look for signs like location changes. There are plenty of animals in our own country that need your help. At first in my situation, the state where the dog was coming was mine, then it changed. Here is the information of the guy that tried to scam me.

He was very precise about their shots, what and when they eat, their personalities and so on. That is why I believed him, plus at first he was local. Then, it all changed, it turned into when will I get my money. money, money, money!

Here is the email to me that made me wonder.

If you are "dealing" with someone in Cameroon or Nigeria, you can pretty much assume you have been or will be scammed.

what these 'scammers' are doing is wrong;

my lab died not too long ago and someone comes along saying they have the perfect pup of course its going to get your hopes up and get excited and dish out the cash but think before you act!!!

even though these people are scamming it should be your responsibility to protect yourself

besides why would you want a puppy that you cant even meet before you buy!

and they're use of religion to make them seem nice is dispicable

so if anyone you know is looking for a new pet make sure they dont fall into this trap even if it is hard to say no to someone who seems so caring

About the whole puppy business in regards to the sellers being from Cameroon... don't waste your time or money!! They are all scams, I almost got sucked in on one Mr. Jose Luis trying to sell a teacup Yorkie, and shock or all shockers... guess who I needed to make the money out to? ... A Mr. Smith, no first name, just Smith. Ridiculously fishy. And the person trying to pass themselves off as the seller of the dogs gave me a horrible story about being British. I have never seen such horrid spelling and grammar as I did from that person. PLEASE be careful out there on the net, and if you are truly trying to bring a wonderful pet puppy into your life, contact a local and responsible breeder for the breed you are looking for!!

i have bought a tecup yorkie a couple weeks ago from this guy whos email address is jsn_prestley@yahoo.com and then i payed him and he eamiled me after 8 hours of sayin itll be in chicago midway and asked me did you get the puppy yet and i said no i did not and then i got a message saying that he wanted m300 and something dollars for the dog to be shipped to my house and i was very upset because i bought it for my girlfriend samantha because she always wanted a puppy and so did i. so i bought and now im trying to get my money back and he said ill give it back to you once i get extra cash and then i emailed him back sorry were not like you foreign people in your country us americans dont play games so i would really like if you returned my money and i didnt get any response but if he dont give me my money back im going to hire a lawyer and contact the police because i think it needs to stop.!

I was almost scammed by someone from cameroon. Her name was Kelly Miller and she told me that she had 5 females. I asked if I could pay in any other way and she said no. DO NOT GET A PUPPY FROM CAMEROON!

I almost bought a puppie from cameroun. They said the climate condition was too bad for the bulldogs. That they need to be sent back to the states and to send a money gram. FORGET THAT! after finding this website I definatley will not be sending them money!

I was leary of the ad for a free tee-cup yorkie. Her name is Amanda Kimbely who is with the peace corp in Cameroon. She can't take care of her dog Maggie with her busy schedule and poor climate. All I need to do is send lots of pictures monthly and pay the cost of shipping which is $160. I emailed her tonight and told her I would send $100 and the rest upon shipment of the dog. She hasn't responded yet. I then found this site and confirmed my suspicions. The address and phone number she supplied to me Apt. #45 Bastos

I pretty much caught on after this action. Well this is his information and I really hope he gets whats coming to him.

I hope this message reach the next potential victim of this terrible fraud he is committing!!!

I had an experience with a man from Cameroon (Donald Masters) using email donypets@gmail.com and an accompliss (supposedly a lawyer). he expressed interest in buying my house off of craigslist and supposedly called from Paris in route from Cameroon asking for money to get through customs.

Anyway, beware of anything originating from Cameroon.

hello and i also got scammed but luckily i found this site before i spent any more money. a guy from cameroon said he had bloodhound puppies for 150.00 and that was to pay for her flight ticket. i told him i didnt have it until dec.12 and he said he would hold the pup for me but i had to send 40.00 western union to buy her food until then. so i did cause i believed him. i thank god for this site it just saved me 150.00 and i appreciate it. these people need to be executed because they could cause people to loose alot and money and get their hopes up for nothing and that is wrong so they need to be punished.

Hi... I have been in contact with this girl from cameroon thru emails... and she has send me a copy of the documents for entry of the puppy here in dubai and she also send me the vaccination certificate. and she is asking me for 540 dollars.. But the puppies was for adoption. She said to pay for their plane ticket. She told me to send the money to her brother via western union. But I did not send it. I told her to send me the details of the pet, and the airport where they are going to be deployed and I will be the one to buy their plane tickets and send it to her. What she did was send me a number and told me that I can contact that number because it is a ticketing agency. I contact the number and some guy with a british accent answered the phone. And by then, I know that it was not a ticketing or travel agency for pets. So my plan now is to tell the girl that I will get the ticket from here in dubai for the pets and send it to her. Let me see what she will do.

i looked for monkeys for sale iwich i cuome upon a website there was a monkey for £160 but thay were so convinsing sending me pictures and videos of the monkey so i sended a money gram of £160. which when i payed that thay phoned sayin they wanted another £460 i have got all the e mails on my computer and i made an email up pretending to be someone else to see if they had monkeys for sale and they gave me exact emails back as when i asked in the first place i mostly want to warn other people about this and i want my money back please email me with more info on how to do this thankyou a graham

I beleive I was scammed by a person in Washington State in adopting a tea cup Yorkie. A red flag should of gone off when they asked me to send the money to Cameroon, Africa. It didn't make sense since the puppy was to be delivered from Washington State. They even made us sign transfer of owner papers that we will take care and send pictures of him. They Lady suppositly name was Claudia Reynolds and her husband Ryan Reynolds has 3 yorkies puppies but they all looked different. That should of been a red flag also. Her e-mail address is god_is_luv26@yahoo.com and they are suppositly shipping the dog thru Atlas Pet express which I am questioning also. The money is suppose to be shipped to a Mrs. Arnold Fosuh which should of been a 3rd red Flag in Cameroon. I am very sadden that these people prey on our feelings for animals. Do not send any money out of the country via western union and money gram. I wish I checked things out earlier. Shame on me if its to good to be true it probable is. I just hope other people will check thing out. I was warned not to send the money but got caught in the thought of a new cute puppy. I should of been more cautious. Out a few hundred dollars which sucks in these hard times I could of made a car payment. bummed

"SEND THE FEES THROUGH WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER " is another big give away.

The fact that is seems to be some huge order out of the blue is another.

I noticed there was inquiries about phone numbers. I have one, probably the "shipper" as she was urgently trying to reach me so we could get "Nina the teacup terrier" on the midnight flight. I was only required to pay an additional fee of $600 for "refundable pet insurance and $100 for a safer kennel". I kept stalling as I figured I was being scammed and wanted to see how to report it before I severed contact. I am still in contact with "Vanessa" the "owner" of "Nina" who is heart broken about giving up her "wedding gift" from her mother in law. Sheesh......
