Pay the advance fee and at best you'll be requested to pay another fee. You can keep paying fees till you run out of money.

Why on earth would anyone consider paying an "advance fee", especially to a stranger for some supposed contract?

I surely hope you don't consider that email of any benefit... except to point out how you will lose any money you send these people.

Look at the two emails with the same phone number. They don't even appear to be from the same organization.

Remember, if you have to pay an advance fee you are NOT going to receive anything of value in exchange.

CENTRAL AND EAST AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION

We have been asked to send 2 mobile sets along with the documents to the above mentioned address for the finalisation of contract. Is there any way of knowing whether this is a genuine inquiry?

Reply #5 Simrat Sandhu (59.89.231.37) -

I inform with regret that there has been no demand of mobile sets as mentioned in the above post. It was a mistake made by our computer operator. It was only when he posted the message that I realised that he had clubbed this from an inquiry from another party. I deeply apologise for this. However, we still want to know whether this is a genuine inquiry or not.

This is a contract bidding scam. They will offer to buy t-shirts, fruit juice, rice, chemicals, anything. They make you pay for various fake documents.

It's the old advance fee fraud or 419 scam as it's known.

The phone numbers are always from untraceable mobiles. Check it out your self by going to:

https://www.numberingplans.com//?page=analysis

and click Phone Number Analysis, then enter the phone#

It says that 00-237-565-49-70 is from MTM Cameroon mobile

Anyone with such an offer should not pay until they at least have some scam buster look at it at sites such as

www.fraudwatchers.org/forums

Reply #8 Bubba (208.38.55.62) -

I just checked 002375309016 and it's also a mobile phone from MTM Cameroon. This usually means a scam because real businesses don't use mobile phones for official business.

Scammers use ONLY mobile phones because they are untraceable.

You can be pretty sure that if you have to pay something to "get a contract"... you are just paying for nothing.

Once you pay, you'll probably be ask to pay again. The process may repeat until you stop paying.

What is wrong with you guys

If any one want to buy from you ask him first to transfer 10% from the total{which will cover frouds or will make them go away}

It is sad that we can trust people from Cameron or Nigeria and bad for them and image them wrong

{it is funny tough}

They are work at the same way {makes our life easier}

I usually just ignore them {from time to time i let them think that they got a big fish}

Not everything is froud only{99.9%}
