I am seeking a recipe for "gufong". We often have it with our coffee or tea or as a bread with munchupa or canja. If you have one would you please forward it to me? Thank you

Here is a Gufong recipe my dad use to make.4 cups water 2 cups of corn flour 1/4 cup of margarine 3/4 cup of sugar 1 teaspoon of salt Boil water, margarine, sugar and salt. Remove from heat and add corn flour. Mix well until all of the luns are dissolved. Return to heat, cook on very low heat for about 20 minutes stirring occassionally. Cool to handle then add 2 teaspoons of baking powder and all purpose flour a little at a time until dough is easy to handle. Knead dough int a roll (shape of a finger or stick). Dust hands with a little flour to prevent sticking. Fry in a frying pan which is half filled with oil on medium heat. Turn until sides are golden. I hope this helps you all out.

Thanks for the Gufong recipe. I lost my aunt's and my grandaughter wanted to bake for her class from one of her many heritage. I loved these and was smart enough to ask for the recipe before auntie's death but not smart enough to keep it safe. Will try both recipes.
