What is the biggest advantage of importing vehicle to China? Saving money. Here we list the money people can save from importing used car and new car.
1. Used car.
Buy 06 ML350 in US, 27000miles, excellent condition, vehicle price about $30000, shipping it to Shanghai, total cost is less than 500, 000RMB (exclude license plate).
Buy a similar one in China, you have to pay about 650, 000RMB (exclude license plate).
Attention: In China, there is no standard for used vehicle’s quality, but in US you could have a CARFAX to check its history and accident report.
2. New car.
Buy 09 new Porsche Cayenne 3.6 in US with more options, vehicle price about $46, 000, shipping it to Shanghai, total cost is 730, 000RMB (exclude license plate).
Buy a similar one in China but base model, you have to pay about 880, 000RMB (exclude acquisition tax and license plate)
The difference is huge, so why are you still hesitating? Let’s get move!
Attention: All imported vehicles to China are not tax free. The tax rate is determined by engine displacement.
