I have been trying to find good information about purchasing real estate in Cali, Colombia. I need the specifics about what is required in terms of documents, residence, and money transfer from a US bank to a local branch in Cali, and how to open a checking account without a DIAN certificate or one year financial records...which I donīt have at present.

I have been here for approximately three weeks and have found a home that I wish to purchase. All help will be appreciated! No solicitors PLEASE!

Hi, we live in London UK and have plans to purchase a house in cali Colombia, we would like share informationb with other people trying to do the same. We have no experience with Colombian law as such or the process of buying property there.
