We are here in California my wife is from Medellin, Colombia. We are researching to see if there are any positions for a halfway spanish speaking gringo that loves it in Colombia and is prepared to make the change but needs to find a job in product research, material research somewhere in a laboratory. Can be Quality Control or R&D. Mech background, computer literate, MS software, Solidworks, Autocad..... un poco espanol esta bein.

Do you have a reason to go, or just going to go. Colombia is awesome (of course it is good to know somebody from there) i havent had any issues as it is pretty safe, but stick to the larger cities. bus rides....? i did 1 time wont ever do it again..... one word, IDIOTS! I have had some really good luck with my taxis there, last time i found a driver that was from Chicago and he goes for the summer months as he is a school teacher and it is his "Vac" and works as a taxi driver and he is as white as a slice of bread fluent spanish of course. Nice guy all i had to do was call him and he would come and pick us up and take us anywhere. Where are you heading in Colombia. I am an attorney in Florida. I am looking for a job either acting as a legal consultant or a teacher in Colombia. I can also offer legal services for dealings with the US. I do not speak Spanish.
