Q: Please give us a short summary of your website?

A: 1 Ferrets Treasures stocks 1000's of embroidered iron-on clothes patches and appliques. Our iron-on patch designs include animals, children, food, drinks, professions, hobbies and special interests, dance and musical notes - instruments, mutiple sports, heraldic designs such as fleur de lis, and crown appliques. We also offer selected sew-on, hot fix rhinestone applique designs and sewing trims such as ribbons, frog closures and tassels. We welcome custom patch orders and have helped schools, religious groups, scout troops, clubs, event coordinators and craft professionals get the iron-on patches they needed at unbeatable prices.

Q: How did you decide on a name for your website?

A: Our name reflects our founder's passion for ferrets and their determination to seek "treasures" at every opportunity. Ferrets seek, discover, uncover, and explore constantly. That committment is reflected in our motto "Let us ferret out the patch that you need."

People often have to spend hours hunting for the items they need. Through our network of industry resources we usually can help.

Q: What makes your website different from other, similar pages?

A: We are a small owner operated business that strives to provide a unique, one-on-one customer experience. The customer's mission becomes our mission to find just the item/s needed at a reasonable cost. We provide options and suggestions that can help save money.

Q: When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

A: I launched my first website in 1997 for the Ferret Association of Connecticut (FACT) - a 501(c)3 non-profit headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut. FACT is a humane ferret shelter and ferret educational organization.

I would be looking for a patch large enough to go on the back of a jacket embroidered with a horse and rider turning a barrel. Also, adding some bling such as hot set crystals would be great since we have it on our horses' tack as well.

For example a 2 by 2" patch = 4 square inches while a 1 by 1 inch patch equals 1 square inch. Thus the 2 by 2 will cost about 4 times as much. Not precisely as there are other factors like set up of the machines etc. That's where quantity comes in. If you get 5 pcs, 25 pcs, 100 pcs, 500 pcs or 1000 pcs. Depending on the factory size is usually optimized at between 200 and 500 pieces. Anything less than 100 and you will be almost paying the same as you would for 25 pieces in total dollars. Lastly, if you needed them in a hurry you will pay for the priviledge. Most patches today are made in Asia, and to get them made in the US could increase the price by as much as 60 to 100%.
