Doing Business in Costa Rica

Jesse from Miami, Florida -

Keep these rules in mind when doing business of any kind in Costa Rica:

1) The rules will change on you without notice.

2) You will be told anything you want can be done, when really it can't (or won't) be done.

3) Eveything will take significantly longer than you are told.

4) Hence, everything will cost more than you were told.

5) If you achieve the apperance of success someone will do their best to steal your business even if it means destroying it and leaving you and the thief with nothing.

Here's a good way to do business in Costa Rica. After a lightening storm disconnect half of someone's house from the electrical mains. Then tell them you can fix it for $100-$150.
