I'm gearing up to start a three or four month stay in Costa Rica to help make the relocation decision.I have pulled a lot of helpful information off the net, but I can't seem to find out where most American locate in Costa Rica.I'm single and would living alone and would prefer to be in an area close to other Americans at first.Any information on this will be welcome. Thanks Patrick

The cost of renting an apartment can be a huge range of amounts. I have seen some that are just 400.00 a month and I have seen some that are 400.00 per week. It all just depends on locations and which amenities you are interested in.

A nice two bedroom apartment in Alajuela goes for about $200/week, unfurnished. A nice house is about $350.

HelloI am relocating in June to Costa Rica. I spent three years in Patagonia, so this is not my first expat experience. I am trying to link up with some bilingual individual in San Jose, who would be willing to act a a guide and companion for a week or a month to show me around. I am on a fixed incom but can probably cover transportation, meals and miscellaneous expenses. Anyone have any advice • Page 1 (Original Post) •
