Green Oranges

Brad (63.176.159.87) -

Why are oranges green in Costa Rica? By green, I mean colored green, not unripe. The ripe oranges you buy in the grocery store are green. How come?

From my understanding when oranges grow in warmer climates where it always stays warm, they stay green. Also apparently many remain green and only turn orange when the cold tempature hits. Thanks for posting this, i never even thought about it, so i did research. Now i have learned something I didn't know beforehand because of you, thanks! :)
