Does Costa Rica have fast food restaurants? I can't remember because it has been a while since I went. I would figure you at least have a McDonalds. Trackbacks

McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC and plenty more I can't think of off hand. I suppose that is a travels high point to chown down at McDonalds. If you want a trip where there is no McDonalds, no American Fast Food... San Andres, Colombia should be your destination. Just a 45 miniute flight from San Jose... so plan a few day there during your Costa Rica vacation.

San Andres has no American fast food. I figured somewhere didn't have it. I am surprised that there are that many fast food places. When in London and France a few years ago, all I saw was McDonalds and the prices were outrageous.

Taco Bell with the genuine Costa Rican foods. I have heard all over the board that the Costa Rican food is nothing to talk about. It is bland and not that great. I can't stand Taco Bell.

Taco Bell and Costa Rican food are probably both bland but they are no the same.To get a generic costa rican meal take a little bit of anything and add a lot of rice and beans. At least for breakfast the Gallo Pinto is rice and beans with a little onion, spice and oil.

I used to never eat Taco Bell until last year. Some of the dishes can be really yummy and not bland! Has anybody tried the crunchwrap supremes?!? Heh.
