Hurricane Wilma Stop Travel to Costa Rica?
Larry Martin (216.15.77.60) -
Trying to determine if Costa Rica was impacted as badly as neighboring countries (especially the Yucatan and Cancun in Mexico) that were in Hurricane Wilma path. Traveling in a couple of weeks (November 2005). Is it still a good idea?.....or maybe best to reschedule? Emails to Costa Rica have gone unanswered for the last two or three days. Any information very much appreciated. Trackbacks

Lots of emails to (or from) Costa Rica never make it -- the spam filters.I think you'll find that Costa Rica is too far south to be bit directly by hurricanes. The side effect may be more rain that usual. On the caribbean coast this can cause some serious troubles. If you are planning to visit the central valley, pacific coast, Guanacaste, Arenal... anywhere from the caribbean coast I'd get on that airplane and enjoy your trip.
