I am a south american living in montreal retired, and willing to buy property in cuba, had spend 20 years going there on vacations, i speak spanish and know the cuban system, if you want as much as i do, buy in cuba, just forget it, nothing is for sale, till the regime, Fidel, stays in power, ... but keep your eyes open, soon, we will be able to. but hurry, before america takes over!!! don, t be a full, never get involved with a cuban, they will promise anything, and you are ed!!!

From what I understand only Cubans can "buy" property in Cuba and even they don't technically "own" that property. If a cuban "purchases" property for a non citizen and the government finds out they will cinfiscate the property.

i just got back recently from a vacation in cuba, we were on a bus tour to go to havana and the tour guide answered a lot of our questions, in regards to this topic...your not able to purchase property in cuba, the cuban government owns pretty much everything on the island...some houses are passed down and inherited to family members or friends can switch houses if theyd like but no one can just buy property.

also i learned, say a cuban couple gets married-they cannot buy their own house, there is no renting in cuba either..that couple has to live with their parents...when their parents are gone that is the only time they can inherit the house and have it as their own.

(hope this all makes sense..we all just have to accept as beautiful as cuba is no one can purchase any property down there..)

Sorry to burst your bubbles folks. But non-cubans can't buy land or property in CUBA. Government owns every land, businesses, and homes.

Hi all, THERE IS NO CHANCE for any of you to totally own a property in cuba.. YOU MUST find a cuban person you can trust and basically, u give them money to buy the home under their name.

** AND they cannot have any non family members stay at the home, UNLESS U MAKE IT INTO A CASA PARTICULAR **.

IT means they register their home as a mini motel for tourists to

stay, and they pay the government 1wk worth of money per month, that they would charge a tourist. regardless if they have any

tourists staying at the house or not.

THATS RIGHT, your chances of personally owning a property through

any means or methods is like less than 1% chance.

What im offering is this.... i am a canadian, and have a fiance in cuba, camguey

and a good friend in holquin and havana, whom, you basically have to trust

through me, to buy the property, and we will take care of

the property for you, and you come here whenever you want, for as many months as you want, and we will have services offered to you for free, as a return favor for providing a good cuban a home.
