Can anyone help on buying a bar???

Hi,

I am looking at buying a bar in Pafos but I have had a lot of people advise that it is next to impossible to make money unless you are cypriot??

Can anyone talk from personal experiences and give their opinions etc.

Ive been dealing with Real Estate for three years in Paphos and If you would like to know more information in regards to purchasing a bar .. i am more than happy to help you. So you have been advised you only make money if you are Cypriot.. that is very wrong as i am friends with alot of Non Cypriot bar owners . .

Hi Matt

I came to Cyprus on my own from england and bought a bar. I must say it was hard work to get all the licences in place the first year and took me about 6 months to complete them all. But the next year and so on I completed them all in two days. Many bars operate without licences here and have hidden costs.

I now have a very successful bar and have no problems. My only advice is to be very careful of where you buy a bar and try and ensure that you are not surrounded by other Cypriot bars as this can cause problems if you are succesful at what you do.
