I am the Chair of the Czech & Kolache Festival at the Heritage Farm in Kewaunee. The site is a Czech Farmstead dating back to the late 1800's with a beautiful Pavilion. We host the Czech & Kolache Festival each year on the first weekend in August. This year it is Aug. 1 &2. We begin on Saturday with the sale of Kolaches directly from the ovens--all handmade with homemade fillings.We serve Chicken Booyah on Saturday. On Sunday we begin the festivities with a Mass at 10:30 and the sale of fresh kolaches, at 11:30 we begin the serving of dumplings, saurkraut, pork roast and Coleslaw and kolaches for dessert. Czech Beer is available , along with other refreshments at our bar. The vendors of Czech Christmas ornaments , and Czech crystal and jewelry are available for sale.
In the Threshing Barn and Stable you will find a Czech band, Czech displays, and demonstrations provided by the Wisconsin Czechs. We offer 2 fun filled days celebrating our Czech heritage.
