Washington Wizards Video Game Tournament

Test your skills at NBA LIVE 2005 on PS2 with some of the area’s best players at the Washington Wizards Video Game Tournament!

The Tournament will be held on April 9, 2005 at the MCI Center and will be $35 dollars to participate in and $25 to be a spectator. This ticket includes admission to that night’s game when the Wizards host Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers!

All Tournament play will follow a single elimination format. Each contestant will have one opportunity to play. Contestants will compete and be eliminated through head-to-head, competitive play. A single loss will result in elimination from the Tournament. During Tournament play the winner of each game will progressively advance through successive rounds until all slots for the last round have been filled. During the last round of play, contestants will compete head-to-head until a final winner is determined.

Depending on the level of Tournament play, the winner of the last round of play will advance to, or win, the Finals Tournament competition.

All Tournament contestants are allowed to select and play as any member of any current regular season team. Two contestants can play as the same team.

Except for the semi-finals and final round of play, all Tournament contestants will play four (4) two (2)-minute quarters. All contestants competing in the Tournament's semi-finals and final round of play will play four (4) three (3)-minute quarters.

In the event of a tie, the game will go to continuous 2-minute overtime until a winner is decided.

Along with the one-on-on tournament, we’ll also be having competitions for Play Against the Pro, Three Point Shoot-Out, and Slam Dunk. Prizes will be given throughout the day!

To download a registration form, simply go to Washingtonwizards.com, and click under the Tickets link. Scroll down, and click the link under Wizards Video Game Tournament, and you are ready to go!

Tickets are based on availability, so act fast! You may either fax your registration form or mail it in. Payment options include check and credit card and all orders must be received by April 1st. If you have any questions, email starrant@washsports.com

See you on the April 9th!
