yea djibouti seems to have done little in the art, science, and technology fields but has been used as a trade port throughout its history dating back to 300 A.D. so do not expect much info on food art, technology, or anything other than the fact that their people are starving which is what we all know. o and they have goat cheese and milk as a major regional food fyi

Yes, I know a bit, I am an American Military professional stationed in Djibouti. The country defies all stereotypes It is a Muslim majority nation that has close ties to the west in General and America in particular. It is a poor developing nation that still provides aid to and shelters refugees from a number of nations. 95% of the population is Muslim, but they are a democracy, and close allies to Christians nations (Ethiopia, France and America) some reports even suggests that there is a movement in Djibouti to form a federation with Ethiopia. A big portion of the population is poor but there is no noticable radicalism; there are no suicide bombers, no rallies calling for death to America or the destruction of Israel and the Churches don't have to worried about being burned. A tiny country whose proud people defy the stereotype to demonstrate that tolerance can exist in any society, and stupid power hungry men with a murderous agenda can distort any beliefs for thier own purposes.

Djibouti is my home, it is nice place we are fun people and we love people. we are not starving and we are working towards a better development of our country. Our country is small but nice and fun and our people are great. We believe in peace and loving all the people of God.99% of djiboutiens are muslims and shelter some ethiopians and somaliens. We like to help if we are able to. And there you go.
