I was a bit taken aback by the diversity of musical taste in Ecuador when I visited there last year. In addition to their own brand of music (that I mostly heard from the traveling musicians who sometimes lacked some talent but made up for it in volume), I even found a radio station that played songs all in English. Where else could you go and hear Britney Spears and Korn on the same channel?
