Hey everyone, any suggestions on how to find cheap, beachfront property in Ecuador?

What are prices at now?

Hey Rick,

There are a few things to keep in mind when looking for property in Ecuador in order to find the hottest deals:

-There is no MLS system, so finding good listings can be tricky.

-The most common scam is when someone or some company sells you a house that isnt theirs. They mark it up then refer you to the owner at closing. Always be sure you are dealing with the owner directly.

-Some great places to start looking on the coast are Ballenita, Olon and Canoa. These are three small towns with some excellent beachfront buys available.

-Remember to use the net but dont search in english! search in spanish, or you will find only high priced listings aimed at foreigners. For more on how to find the hottest steals on the coast, check out my report at EcuadorRealEstate.org

Retiring - looking for reasonable (cheap) oceanfront with

slight (10-25 ft) elevation to property, not to close but not to

far (10-15 min. by car) from a town with all the amenities. I

plan on isiting between september and april; which are the best

times to visit. Any information would be appreciated.

My wife recently returned from touring the country and selected Canoa as her prefered site.

We are serious and would like to get moving.

I have been living in Manta (American) full time 2 years and part time 4 years. I am considering selling my home there because i will have to work in the US and bring my family also cant afford yet to retire at 34 years old. Although not on the beach a very close 5 to minute drive I have a home is one year old in a private community(security) with community pool and some shops. 3 bedrooms and 4 baths also maids quarters in the rear of the house with bathroom. We have added new kitchen cabinets and AC for ALL rooms. We have bought new furniture at time of buying home including stove, and refrigerator. There is a uncovered carport as well. We have not marketed the home yet but will give a fair honest price to any that are interested with pictures. So if you would like any advice on Ecuador or interested in home purchase I can give for with applainces or without. Also we have a 2009 Toyota Carolla (Grey)that we could sell.
