My wife and I are looking at taking an ESL teaching position in Cairo and were wondering if any one had been working there could let us know a few quick details.

What is the average local salary per month?

What are the expected costs of living per month?

Are there any customs to be aware of?

I have been offered a job in Hurgada to work in a hotel as part of the entertainment team. I will be working 6 days a week for at least 6 months. I am a qualified primary school teacher and would like to know if that may have any bearing on my salary. Also what is the expected salary? Board and accomodation is included and medical care on site is too. However if i have to go to hospital will i need extra health cover?

My husband and I are buying a property near luxor. We would like to seek employment.

I am a registered nurse and have a degree in Psychology. I also in my spare time design and make jewellery.

Husband is a qualified electrician and has worked in the building trade in many countries in the world. He has also off shore oil experience. Can any one point us in the right direction.

I speak fluent Arabic.

I also run a charity called www.kittenadoption.ie.

Hi

Although I have an Egyptian husband, he has informed me when I return to Luxor he will not be making time to see me (his family putting him under pressure to marry an Egyptian). Can anybody tell me if an English woman live in Luxor easily on her own, as some of my confidence has now gone from being constantly told I won't be able to do it as I will be ripped off.

Are there also any expat meetings?

I am Canadian male. Currently in Hurghada, Egypt. Looking for a German native lady/gentleman and Russian native lady/gentleman to work in a language center in Hurghada.

To teach adults your native language and to do other miner office work such as translation services.
