| Computer donation difficultiesI was with a charity called Camara which donates computers to Africa (www.camara.ie) and I had the idea of giving computers recycled by them to some of the young athletes in camps and schools in Ethiopia and Kenya. The key point is that they would stay in their own countries and be of use to their own people as they would be natively empowered -education is the key to addressing poverty. I have made many contacts but eg with the Ethiopian Athletics Federation they wanted the machines but could not be bothered to contact the charity themselves or organise the donation. Therefore the attitude appears to be that they do not want to educate themselves unlike you if they enjoy running -is this the case? Please respond if you are able to help me donate my own time and money to donate computers. I am trying to address injustice in your country. Thanks. |
