Hi, My name is Drew Palumbo and I'm a surfer from Lansdale PA, USA and I just bombed out of college and realized that this country wont provide me with the life i want which is a simple natural life where i can surf and smoke my herb without be constantly under attack. Im an experienced water-man and could fish or do anything on water to get by and ill have a decent amount of money before moving to help me get started. My real question is if fiji is the right place for me and if it is where could i get started on planning out my new life. Any input would help please i have to get out of hereeee. Ill be forever grateful to anyone who can help me out! Peace+love

I've wanted to expat since I was a child, a simpler life has always been a dream of mine. And after years of fighting for the destiny/path I know I should be on in life, it's not happening in the US. If I can't make my dream happen, in the land of dreams, I don't want to be here anymore. I don't want to pay taxes to a government that doesn't care. Why should I have to pay taxes overseas, did Louis and Clark have to worry about the IRS when they defined the American spirit? No, they dropped thier and did what they knew that they had to, and they are heroes, ANYONE should be able to do that. I don't want to be a part of a country that only supports ideals and not action. My exploration is one of self and soul, why should that be any different?

Hi, If anyone has any advice about moving to Fiji, starting a small business in Sigatoka and finding housing on the Coral Coast, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I have 2 kids who need to be schooled and I was thinking of home or correspondence teaching. Anyone who has knowledge in this area would be welcomed to reply. That's about all. have a great day..

Just want to add that I'm also tired of life in the big city and left my heart in Fiji. I really wish the coup hadn't happened as it has made it very hard to gain entry into their gorgeous country. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
