HI,I am looking at possibly emigrating to Florida. The company i work for have branches in Tampa and there are positions currently available that interest me. 1) I have a few questions which i could with being answered, firstly the job in question offers a salary of around $45,000 per year. Would this be classed as an average / above average sort of wage in Tampa? 2) Would this generally be enough to support a family of four until my other half finds a job? 3) How do they work out how much of a mortgage you could get i.e. is it like the UK (3 x your annual wage)? 4) What sort of vehicle can you lease for around $540 a month? I've only just started to look into this, so my apologies about the questions, it's real hard knowing where to start first. Many Thanks, Carl. Trackbacks

Hello, We arrived in Florida 18 mths ago and now have our green cards. We brought a business which was L-1 eligible, (also E-visa eligible) and we converted the L-visa to a pernement statis. We now no longer need the business, so if you are looking to buy a business that meets visa requirements....please contact us for all the details. We can also give you all the information that helped us, ie legal advice that we used, etc.

I have US citizenship but lived in the UK for nearly all of my life.I want to return to the US but with my longterm partner whom I plan to marry. The visa application process seems complicated, does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to get him out there? Should we apply for a K1 fiance visa and get married within the 90 days or get married first then start the applicaton process?

If you want to go to the USA right away the fiance visa would be the way to go.. as that quickly gets you both in the USA.Otherwise, you'll have to wait for the processing to complete... unless you partner can already enter the USA legally... then it doesn't matter, except they will have to leave and reenter once the residency is granted.

Hi, my husband and i are very interested in living in florida with our 2 sons, but unsure where to begin.Do i have to work full time like my husband( as i only work part time), or is it enough that he is the main earner?. Also is it easy to rent a property as we wont be buying straight away and are jobs easy to find out there?. My husband is a builder, i do private house cleaning and part time manicurist, my eldest son works in a bookies and my younger son will be leaving school early next year. Could someone please give us some advise as we are very keen to start a new life out there. Many thanks.
