I am in the process of hopefully moving out to Florida shortly - after Christmas. I have my interview at the US Embassy in early October. One thing that worries me is the cost of medical insurance out there so I wonder if anyone could advise me on the best way to go about this. I have just ended a 22 yr pensionalbe engagement with the RAF and intend to work part time but my husband will be the main breadwinner out there so hopefully will get a job where insurance is inclusive.

The Global Citizen health plan has met the standards of USA state regulators and thus features benefits more generous than non-admitted "surplus lines coverage." There are no waiting periods associated with most benefits or services and no pre-certification is required. These plans use HIPAA guidelines and the pre-existing condition exclusion can be waived subject to proof of prior creditable insurance. In addition, the plan automatically covers injuries or illnesses that are a result of a terrorist act. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
