I am looking for any age/breed purebred doe to show at the Volusia county fair in November and maybe at the Florida state fair next year. I am going to start a purebred show herd. My wife and I, have just fenced 10 acres of scrubland in Crystal River, Fla. and would like advice on what type of goats to put on this property. Our goal is to clean up the scrub, qualify for ag tax rating, and to make some extra cash from sales of goat milk and cheese. Information would be appreciated on how to get started, where to obtain stock, what types have the best survival rate, etc.
