Q: What's the name of your website?

A: It's called Voiles d'ombrage, which is sail shade in French. We live and sell in France, so French works best!

Q: What inspired you to launch your own website?

A: At first we used a website creation company, but they could never do exactly what we wanted, and in the end we decided the only way of getting exactly what we wanted was to do it ourselves. Like so many other things: if you want something done: do it yourself!

Q: Tell us about the business behind the website

A: We sell an Australian brand of sailshades primarily into France. We live very remotely and still wonder at the power of the internet that allows us to live and work surrounded by nature, yet in touch with the real world.

Q: What makes your business different from other, similar businesses?

A: We focus on customer service and care: both of which are not common in France. This differentiates us.
