It is always interesting to dig into the past. Gabon had been under the rule of Omar Bongo until his demise sometime this year. He had been at the helm of leadership for more than four decades.Were there any interesting happenings in Gabon that caught the attention of the media? Gabon attained independence in 17th August 1960. It had been the last of four territories which had formed French Equatorial Africa.
