Rate of unemployment in this country.
How many years are we going to stay? Home, waiting for government or private
Companies to create employment for
Us? When are we going to stop chasing
Job agents who cash in on us? When are
We going to stop spending our last
Pesewa on internet looking for
Jobs? When are we going to stop?
Spending our precious time minding
someone else's business and making them
rich? Do we not have what it takes to
build wealth for ourselves? are we not
intellectual enough? don’t we have
hands, legs and brains? why did we go to
school? is it to prepare us for the
world or government. please my fellow
brothers and sisters, lets wake up
, lets Awake The Giant Within us. we
deserve more than this. To become
financially secure, a person needs to
mind their own business. lets us not
depend on the government, for our
success lies in our hands. the problem
with our school is that we often want
to become exactly what we studied. So
if you studied, say, art , you become an
artist, If you study law, you become
a lawyer, and a study of auto mechanics
makes you a mechanic. yes you can be but
you can also apply your acquired skills
in a different way and be more
profitable for yourself rather than someone
to become rich and at the end of your
service with hard work, you are given
something small to take home, well, is
your choice. you become what you want
to be because the world is what you
make it.one may ask what can i do or
what can we do?
i believe our problem is not our
capability but rather lack of
knowledge. probably you may not know
what you can do unless you discover it.
and you may be thinking if even i have
the talent what am i going to do with
it, is simple, it doesn’t need something
big, is a matter of coming together and
combining our forces for something
profitable. you may ask what is it?
-its something we all don’t want to do
because our minds are filled with
office work.
-its something that contributes 60
percent of our GDP.
-its something that we are blessed
with.
-its something that can create real
wealth for us and as individual.
-its something we have ignored for so
long.
Am not talking about anything but
farming which i believe our hindrance
is not money but lack of ability to act
together and poses the desire to
achieve something in life.is not bad to farm.is how you make it.it can be big.
think about graduates coming together to farm,
and when i talk about farming , is not
only limited to growing of crops but
include fish farming , bee keeping, snail
rearing, palm plantation, mushroom,
grasscutter, poultry and so on, you
name it. which can really create real
wealth for us.
think about graduates coming togeter to
do this, all the skills that we will
apply to this because of our
intellect(technology), all we need is
seminars to train as for a short time
because we have what it takes to .one
may ask where are we going to get the
capital to start?
think about the attention we are
going to attract.(graduates coming
together to create employment which the
government is not able to do)while we
create wealth for ourselves we feed the
nation and the world. the good thing
about this is we are going to take it
from normal farming to a different
level from technology -
processing our produce and
exporting it.
think about the aid and all the support
that we going to attract from the
government, telecommunication giants,
stakeholders , ngos and so on , is
only a matter of doing our homework
very well and letting people see our
seriousness and our desire to achieve
something.it will not be easy but with determination we can.
the only thing we have to do is to come
together as a group, as many as
possible, and write a very good
business plan and proposal. and also
plan how we will start.
Also all we will need from the
government is not to put as on payroll
but to give us the land and incentives
to start, then will take it fro that level and apply for sponsorship,
not for money but for farm equipment
from the telecommunications
industry, banks and all the stakeholders
which is very broad and even ngos for
support, and i believe strongly no one
will turn us down because we are on a
good cause. so you see, is not about
money but the will to start.
think about it very well, is a dream
which i want you and your colleagues to
be part of this great opportunity.
i know is strange for you, but is possible.
