Hi, Iv been here for over a month, due to my job I move around a lot, and now in Ghana. I have to admite, of all the places iv been to Ghana is pretty expensive, as an xpat I found one bar which I felt at home, called the chaps I think. People here are very friendly compared to a lot of places iv visited in Africa, and mostly Europe

I am a foreigner planning a trip to Accra. The trip will not be soon but any advice on a good correspondent to provide accurate details on a comfortable vacation, i.e. currency, cost of living, places to visit versus place to go. I do not want to stay in a resort.

I would really like to get some feedback on the livestyle in Accra. Is it safe, are there good medical facilites etc? Are they any expat communities that my wife can be safe in etc? Also, what is the cost of living like? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Chris

hello, my husband and i are more than likely to be moving to ghana. I really don'e know where to begin. But one question, is what are the pros and cons or renting vs buying a house as an expat? Also, we live in a nice house and we are wondering how expensive is to buy/rent a 4 bdrm, 3 bath, unfurnished home in a nice and safe area. Thanks in advance

Hi, Alex - I'm not sure when you wrote that post, but i'm in a similar positiont to you.I'm 22 and just about to move to Ghana for my first teaching post in an international school. I'm sure I will love Ghana, but I'm just worried about meeting friends to go out and have a laugh with. How easily is it to meet expats in Ghana? Cheers Jenny
