We need electricity at Akim Manso

Ghana has reached the stage of equal facility in each region, city, town and village. What do we see in our country? Have you ever asked youself the main course of the high rate of rural-urban migration in Ghana. Almost every body wants to live in Accra, Kumasi, Koforidua, Cape Coast, Tema, Tamale, Sunyani and the rest of the big city. The issues not that those at the small towns and villages are tired of farming and fishing but "What do they gain from the country for the effort they put in their work".

Take a visit to the cocoa growing areas like Akim Manso and the rest which are villages.They do not have access to good water, roads, education, health facilities and the most of them electricity.

Akim Manso is located in eastern region in the Akim-Oda Municipal which Hon. Yaw Osafo Marfo is the current MP. The village is one of the cocoa growing village in the municipal. Since the time of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah when electricity was installed within 2 kilometers of the town, there have not be any extension. About two years ago(2006), the government started an extension project to cover another 10 kilometers of the village. The project was under the DCE and the various Assembly men. They started the project with success but stopped on the way.

The cables is now left in the hands of cable thieves. Almost all the cable is been caught by thess thieves. I want to ask the government by the people he chooses to supervise the work of the various head of institutions if they realy do their? Also what is the course of delay in project at the rule areas.

Until Anything is done about the above situations at the rural area, we will all come to castle to enjoy good water, food, health and electricity.
