My husband is Greek. We've recently got married, and I'll be living in Thessaloniki starting from november. I wanna make friends. I'm 26 years old. I studied economics, and I'm about to get my master's degree in economics & econometrics in a few weeks. I'm Turkish, but I can speak fluent English. Anyone interested in becoming my friend? Please contact me.

Hi :)I am a Greek Australian living in Victoria and have been thinking of going to Greece to work, maybe in English teaching. I've noticed most of the job vacancies in Greece are in Thessaloniki. If anyone has worked there as TEFL teacher or done tutoring there I would appreciate any information from you on the work situation there. Please regale me with your stories! Yeia sas, Ange.

Hej job seekers, I am Lum I study in Thessaloniki and it's my second year here. I worked for some time here and I enjoyed it. Now, I am job-less. However, there are jobs here but it's really hard to find them. The thing is that u have to search a lot, and u have to go to (talking for cafes) the bars personally. Not only bars, the idea is that u have to go and explore the city urself and ask everyone, if they need any job, cause they are really bad in posting jobs in internet(terrible) and also on the front doors of their businesses. Never mind. A week ago I went to Halkidiki with some friends and I found 4 jobs. What I did is go through all the bars and hotels there, asking people in markets, peripteros (kiosk), wherever if they knew that somebody was offering jobs. And after spending a whole day, I found them. My reply to the postings would be, rent a car or take the bus from the Halkidiki Bus Station and spend a day looking for jobs there. For sure, u will get one. As a reply to u Eva (Viva Hungary) since u are looking for jobs I already talked about, here is a number of an agency in Thessaloniki that finds jobs. It is called ProStaff and their tel number is: +302310402360. I also know a couple of guys that work in some bars in Halkidiki, and I will try to get their phone numbers, so for any further info or help contact me in lumosmani@gmail.com. Anyone that wants to find a job in Halkidiki, contact ProStaff they will help you. Lum!
