Project Coordinator Position - Lao Military Disease Surveillance ProgramThe Catalyst Group, LLC (www.tcgoc.com), a health and human services consulting company based in Honolulu, Hawaii is seeking an in-country (local national) project coordinator in Lao, with a proven track record of providing top quality support services, to coordinate the Lao Military Disease
Surveillance project with the Government of Laos representatives and to oversee the program. Candidate must be able to work independently and effectively in providing administrative, logistical support, and implementation processes, to include planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and advisory services.
Description of Project
The scope of this requirement is to provide the U.S. 13th Air Force Surgeon General Directorate - International Health Specialist Division; program management, technical, and logistical support for the Disease Surveillance Capacity Building Project for the Lao Military Medical Department. This requirement ensures that the disease surveillance equipment, logistics, data systems, communications equipment, and personnel training is acquired, managed and conducted in a manner that implements disease surveillance in the Lao military that is both scientifically valid from an international prospective and meets the needs, policies, and procedures of the Laos government.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree (or Lao equivalent) preferably in a public health related discipline.
- Fluent in English and Lao
- Experience working with Lao government officials preferred
The primary place of performance will be at the US Embassy, Vientiane, or the National Center for Laboratory and Epidemiology. The contractor will be required to travel from the primary duty location to temporary duty locations within Laos and Thailand, as requested.
