We require several Native English Speakers to teach oral English for Zibo No. 18 Middle School. We will consider only applicants from North America, UK, Australia, or New Zealand. We want teachers who are friendly and motivated and have strong English skills. Teachers must have TESOL or better and we prefer at least one year teaching experience.
We can offer a monthly salary of 4000 RMB, depending on qualifications. We provide new modern accommodations and many benefits. We will reimburse round trip airfare for those who come from their native country to work in our school on a one year contract. Our starting date is September 1, 2006. Each teacher is provided with a computer with free internet, both in their apartment and in the Foreign Teaching Group office in the school building. All living expenses are paid by the school except food.
We also provide free apartment, water ,gas, electricity and local phone calls are all free.
18-20 lesson periods per week. Paid winter holiday, teacher is entitled to all holidays observed by Chinese teachers .

Normal questions about our schools
1) Our school is was founded in 1982 in Zibo city
2) Your airfare will be reimbursed at the end of your one year contract.
3) Your salary will be 4000 RMB with about 16-18 classes a week,
4) You are expected to teach oral English (without a book)
5) About your accommodation - I will send you some pictures where you will live and the surrounding environment.
6) The living standard here is not high, 1500RMB is the maximum for Chinese, and things here are less expensive. Clothing here is inexpensive, also food, but people here tend to make their clothing, 3$ for labor, 6$ for material basically, in a week you will have your own clothing made.
7) Zibo is located 7 hours by train to the north of Beijing, 2 hours to the east of the coastal city Qingdao. Confusions' temple is 2 hours to the east. According to some the game of soccer originated in Zibo.
8) There are 16-23 students in a school room. Ages range from 17-24.
9) You will be picked up at the airport.
10) Your living quarters are furnished free of charge. TV, Electricity, and Internet are included. Each apartment includes a western-style bathroom.
- 1 bedroom apartment with one sitting room, one kitchen, one bathroom and one dining room for single person
- necessary electrical appliances (Refrigerator, Washing machine, Gas stove, TV, Vacuum cleaner, and Microwave) Central heating and cooling, Cooking utensils, water kettle, and Bath water heater.
- Free use of water, power, gas, and Internet. Local calls are included (long distance calls and international calls are paid by users). To make long distance calls, discounted IP cards or some other telephone cards provide inexpensive communications and are available nearby.
-- Meals are not included but are available at modest prices in the area.
11) Salary (tax not deducted)
- 4000RMB every month for teaching months (16 hours/week)
- 4000RMB every month in summer and winter holidays (more than 70 days)
- Two-way airfare will be reimbursed at the end of the contract
- 4000RMB holiday allowance for 12 months contract
- Payment in Chinese Yuan with free exchange of currency
- 2 weeks off in Golden Weeks for traveling----May Day (the first week of May) and National day (first week of October)
- 2 days off for Christmas
