Have you ever noticed the list of endorsements for political candidates: Chicago Latinos, Jewish Political Alliance of Illinois, Ukrainian Democrat Club, Illinois Federation of College Democrats, American Muslim Alliance and so on. After an exhausting search, I've come to the conclusion that there is no organization made up of Black Democrats, or at least there is none that has a voice. While there is a relationship, the NAACP or ACORN isn't exactly what I'm thinking of. If you're interested in starting an Illinois group of black democrats with the purpose of creating a positive agenda: a voice. A group that would have to be reckoned with by the candidates and Illinois policy makers who claim the best intentions for issues concerning our people, please contact me. Think about it: Illinoisan candidates would only benefit from having "The Black Democrats of Illinois" in their endorsement lists. I believe its called power.....Hoping to hear from you.
