Fun and Easy first steps in Irish, June 30, 2003
The Buntus Cainte books and tapes are an easy way to learn some basic Irish vocabulary and simple sentences. The series is designed to be "first steps in spoken Irish," and the steps are easy to follow. The tapes and pictures are helpful and make the course fun, for adults as well as children.

In this book Janet Folger puts forth the truth of what abortion is, and how the abortion industry operates in our society. She gives practical advice and inspiring stories for those who would defend the lives of the unborn. It is clear that she is often surprised by grace, and committed to working like a dog to save these children, and our society.

A Good Beginning, June 15, 2000
The book delivers what it's title implies, in a few hundred pages. The different perspectives of the various authors help to reinforce the truth that there are many ways of understanding and interpreting events, even when the facts are agreed upon. After having read the book, the reader knows himself not to be an expert, but has a sense of " the course of Irish history."

A Very Practical Guide To Christian Discernment, June 15, 2000
Opening to God is about just that, opening to God's will and his movements within the soul and in the world. It is a very practical guide to discernment. I have used it with high school students who sometimes found the vocabulary and some concepts beyond them, and it is not full of poetic glimpses of the Divine mystery. It is a well grounded and faith filled view of how the Christian can faithfully seek the will of God.
