Hello to all Professionals dealing with Fun, Laughter, Art Therapy, Theatre Improvisation, Psychodrama etc....If you teach people the healing power of laughter, humor, clowning or playfulness, you'll definitely want to be part of Bernie DeKoven's workshop on "Games that make people laugh - the art of sustainable silliness."
Teachers, therapists, workshop leaders will spend the day in Tel Aviv, playing Bernie's "Pointless Games" - games that: 1) have no purpose, other than laughing together, and 2) have no score - or, if they do have score, nobody really cares.
The Feb. 7 workshop, meeting from 9:30-18:30, will cover a wide selection of games, how to adapt them to a wide range of abilities and environments, and the art of "leading for fun."
Bernie is a master of fun and games, having spent more than 40 years teaching and innovating new ways to play, designing commercial and educational games and large scale play events. He was the co-director of the New Games Foundation, contributing many of his own games, developing the New Games Training Program. He is the author of The Well-Played Game, Junkyard Sports, and the websites: deepfun.com, junkyardsports.com, and majorfun.com
Many of the games that will be played during the session are available at Bernie's DeepFun site - see pointless.html on deepfun.com
