It's the Urban Music Awards launch in the Caribbean. The UMA's is now held in 6 countries annually worldwide. This year Beenie Man is confirmed to recieve the Outstanding Achievement award for his contribution to promoting Reggae/Dancehall music worldwide. He said "I am very proud that millions of people around the world have voted for me to recieve this prestigous Outstanding Achievement Award for 2008 from the 1st ever Caribbean Urban Music Awards and I shall be attending and performing on the 26th of April 2008 at Sugar Man Beach, Hellshire" . Also, recieving an award is Legends in Reggae industry , Sly & Robbie who have been confirmed to recieve the Lifetime Achievement Award. C.E.O of Invincible Media Group & Founder of the Urban Music Awards, Jordan Kensington said "The event will not just be an awards show, the afterparty will feature the best soundsystems from Jamaica and DJ's flown in from New York and London to provide the perfect balance between Dancehall, HipHop, R&B, Soca and more at the afterparty at Sugar Man Beach. The best part of it, is that it will all be broadcasted worldwide to 6 countries. To miss the CUMA 2008 next week is defintiely missing out on the hottest event in 2008.
