I am a British woman living in Amman for two years with my husband and three children. My husband is also British and is here on a work contract. I am obviously not married to a Jordanian but also feel isolated in a new place with no family or friends here. Would be great to hear from people similar.

Hi Anyone,

am an expat too, living in sweifieh, Amman, I feel a bit desperate now, but I would like to get in touch with other western expats since am feeling a bit isolated. Amman has many nice places and its always crowded, inspite of that, the different mentality here, makes me feel quite isolated. hope to hear from someone, would be nice to have a cup of coffee together.

I am moving to Amman in May for a new job, I am staying in Abdoun and I am a keen squash player if there is anyone out there that would fancy having a game. American just arrived in Amman. Looking for a fully furnished 2br hopefully in the Shmeisani area. Any ideas are appreciated. If you would like to meet for coffee there is a Starbucks in my hotel - Le Meridien - where I will be until at least May 1. All inut welcomed.

Just moved to Amman and already feel quite isolated, I just rented an apartment after alot of searching, but now I basically dont do much other than work and sitting in the apartment.

Hi To all Expats Have any of you UK Born been to the british embassy club ? membership is available and its a great place for social networking Ive been A number of times for the footy and various events thay have a pool and kids are welcome...hope this helps ......
